Organic Soil Organic Soil

QUICK GROW ORGANIC SOIL Our composted soils are designed to improve your existing soil condition, slowly releasing its nutrients to encourage stronger root growth.

An important value for using mulches is that they continuously add organic matter to the soil surface. Mulches can be either organic or inorganic material.

An important characteristic of mulch is its ability to insulate a plant and its roots from the effects of extreme temperature fluctuations; they act as an insulator, making it possible to keep the soil warmer during cool weather and cooler during warm weather.

They protect against soil erosion by breaking the force of heavy rains; and help prevent soil compaction; and discourage the growth of weeds and they can reduce disease.

Ideal mulches will allow water and air to enter and exit the soil; your plants will need less water if you use mulch, increasing the time that plants can go between watering.

Organic matter in our Quick Grow Organic Soil will alter the structure of your soil so that in clay type soils water will move more freely while in sandy soils water will be held in the soil longer.

Mulches keep the soil evenly moist. Compost and other types of organic matter can be laid down on top of the soil and, eventually, the Soil Food Web will move that material into the soil.
